Defibrillator has been installed in the heart of Langbank

This is the village’s first external defibrillator and Caroline Bryce, Langbank Community Council member and also caretaker of Langbank Village Centre, said: “The support shown by Muir Homes has helped us raise enough funds to provide this vital life-saving equipment for residents and visitors to the village.”

The device, which will be located at the Village Centre, can be used by members of the public to help someone who is having a heart attack while waiting for paramedics to arrive.

Ash Sheik, Sales and Marketing Director at Muir Homes said: “We are always keen to support communities around our developments.

“Those living at Castlebank House are part of the wider Langbank community and this initiative will mean that they have access to a defibrillator close to their homes.

“I also hope our involvement will encourage other businesses to support the community council as it fundraises for a second defibrillator at the station.”
