A new round of funding has been announced for Help to Buy in Scotland, bringing your dream home one step closer to reality by allowing you to purchase with just 5% deposit.

If you are eligible under the initiative’s criteria, you can apply for an equity loan of up to 15% from the Scottish Government, boosting your deposit to 20% and opening up a wider range of mortgage options.

This fantastic opportunity opens up a wider range of mortgage options, and allows you to purchase a home you might not otherwise be able to consider.

Applications for this round of Help to Buy funding are being accepted from Tuesday 1st March 2016, so interested buyers are urged to begin viewing eligible properties now to ensure their application is submitted early.

The 15% equity loan is available on properties priced up to £230,000 in 2016, but that allowance reduces to £200,000 in 2017 and £175,000 in the third year, so it’s best to move quickly to take advantage of the maximum limit.
