Muir Homes impressive New Braemar Showhome at Blairs Royal Deeside features timeless and classic design

The New Braemar Showhome – Now Open

The Drawing Room of this stunning six bedroom villa features a stunning black baby grand piano as well as hand finished curtains and individually made pieces of furniture

For one of its most prestigious showhomes to date – the stunning six bedroom Braemar showhome at Blairs, Royal Deeside- Muir Homes has ensured timeless and classic interior design. There is real attention to detail in the form of design-led fabrics and wall coverings in this beautiful showhome, as well as some statement pieces of handmade furniture.

Says Rosemary Livingstone, Sales and Marketing Manager for Muir Homes:” There is a cutting-edge appeal to the fabulous interior design in the new Braemar, it oozes style and class and we can’t wait to show this stunning showhome off! We have ensured a really opulent look with hand finished curtains and even a baby grand piano in the Drawing Room.”

“The Braemar is a family house type,” she added. “It has an abundance of space, and as such the showhome decor has been designed to appeal to this market. As ever, the top design professionals we work with at Muir have ensured that the look of the showhome is contemporary and glamorous but also very practical. With its neutral colourway, anyone buying the property, later on, can easily make their own mark,” she said.

Enter the spacious hallway and you find a faded damask wallpaper with a statement copper table taking centre stage. This same copper detailing is picked up in a matching chair which has copper studding.  The stunning chandelier above and over the stairwell really makes an impression. Over the stairwell window drapes a gorgeous pair of Osborne and Little goblet headed curtains dressed with tiebacks.

The formal Drawing Room is dominated by a black baby grand piano as well as two large contemporary styled sofas. A stunning Venetian glass coffee table sits in the middle of the room. Here, the theme is relaxed and calm. Ivory through to taupe are hot trend colours, accessorised with hints of metal and an antique mirror.   Once again luxurious fabrics are in evidence with James Hare Silk curtains and two modern side chairs upholstered in a Jane Churchill velvet and metallic fabric.

The dining room has a beautiful dark wood table which seats eight.  The chairs are beautifully upholstered in velvet and a statement Zinc fabric.  The stunning Osborne and Little damask wallpaper is dramatic yet understated at the same time.  Lighting brings a contemporary edge with shiny nickel finishes to compliment the fabrics.  Curtains are once again in James Hare silk.

The study has a masculine feel with an Andrew Martin bookcase wallpaper on one wall and ebony desk with matching chair with faux ostrich leather top.  A beautiful brass ceiling light and masculine striped curtains by Romo complete the look in this room.

The kitchen/family room has a more informal, relaxed feel to it with two sofas, a centre stool and a dining table and chairs complete the look along with bang on trend painterly design fabrics by Romo.

“We are very confident that viewers will love the kitchen/family room in the Braemar,” said Rosemary Livingstone. ” It is very much the heart of the home and the concept of open plan dining, cooking and relaxing is very much to the fore here – it is a very sociable house.”

Upstairs, viewers will find the spacious master bedroom with its en-suite and dressing area. Wallpapered in a Carl Robinson wallpaper which is unique to certain designers in Scotland, the room features a Venetian glass bed with complimentary bedside tables and a chest of drawers. The feel is a very upmarket London home.  The curtains are by Designers Guild to pull the look together.

And what a choice of stunning design styles in the five other bedrooms! Everything from beautiful painted effect furniture; French design house furniture to Ralph Lauren wallpaper and a Voyage covered fabric headboard in bedroom five for a more masculine feel.

Bedroom six is presented as a games room with Amtico flooring in weathered oak, statement lighting and a snooker table with slouch chair with hints of red plaid by Voyage decoration.

Properties at Blairs start from £540,000 for the four-bedroom detached Westray villa, reaching £855,000 for the distinctive Dornoch, a spacious four-bedroom design with an open plan family room and kitchen on the ground floor, a generous master bedroom suite and a feature turret roof.

Each and every new home at Blairs has been designed and built to an exceptional standard, with a classic yet modern interior specification. High-end German designer kitchens are equipped with stone worktops and Siemens integrated appliances, while bathrooms are from the Villeroy & Boch range
