Valuing your current home

Our expert team of property professionals will carry out a thorough inspection of your property, taking into account its location, condition, and other important factors. This will help us to provide you with a fair and accurate valuation, giving you a clear idea of what your home is worth in the current market.

We understand that obtaining a fair and accurate valuation for your property is a key part of the selling process. That’s why we will obtain independent valuations from expert appraisers for your property based on it selling within a specified period of time. This means you can be confident that you’re getting a realistic valuation that takes into account market conditions, buyer demand, and other factors that can affect the sale of your property. 

With our help, you can understand the expected returns on your current property in order to know where you can take your next steps. Once the selling price has been agreed, you can reserve your desired new home by paying a reservation fee. This fee guarantees that your new home will be secured for the specified period, giving you time to sell your current property, finalise your finances and complete the necessary paperwork.

Selling your current home

In order to begin to sell your home following our valuation, an estate agent from our approved list will be appointed to help to sell your home. We have carefully selected our estate agents based on their experience, professionalism, and track record of success. We will work closely with your estate agent to ensure that your home is frequently advertised and that viewings are managed efficiently and effectively.

Throughout the process, you’ll receive regular updates on how things are going. We believe that communication is key to a successful sale, and we’ll keep you informed at every step of the way. In addition, we’ll also help you to appoint a solicitor and mortgage broker from our approved list. Moving in to your new home

As long as your sale is complete within the agreed reservation period, you are then ready to move into your new Muir Homes property without the stress of an existing chain. 

FAQs

Is this available for all Muir Homes properties?

Assisted move is only available on selected Muir Homes properties. Those available through the assisted move plan are subject to terms and conditions set out by Muir Homes.

What happens if my house doesn’t sell?

If your house doesn’t sell in the initial agreed period, you have two choices. Your reservation fee can be refunded and you will no longer be under the Muir Homes Assisted Move Plan. Or we can agree to extend the selling period of your previous property in order to allow you to hold your reservation on the property. In the event that no offer is agreed, Muir Homes is within their right to re-market the available property.

I already have a mortgage advisor

In order to take advantage of the Muir Homes Assisted Move Plan, you must use a Mortgage advisor and Estate Agent from our approved list. This is to ensure the smooth sale of your current property, as we know our approved agents are experienced and have records of success.
